Pourquoi?
a few reflections from the past month or so
- I realized I keep making too many snap judgements without actually thinking about the assumptions, constraints, and implications of them. There's a time and place for that but this is just a reminder for me to think through the problems that deserve thought.
- Time is just a canvas for intentions. Stretching this analogy to imply:
- Wasting time is just being unintentional with your actions.
- Being intentional with your time is a skill like painting. I agree because with so many distractions available, it does take a set of rules, guidelines, and practices to guard your intentions. It's also something that develops over time as you practice expressing your self through your intentions.
- It's a form of expression. Which intentions you decide to put on the canvas of time are an expression of who you are/want to be.
- Not all intentions go well together. Imagine color theory but for intentions. Intention theory haha. Sounds like it good be a best-selling self-help book.
- Confidence = acknowledgment and comfortability with probability failure. Recognizing the worst case scenario, Rationalizing it (e.g., "is this really the worst case scenario or am I assuming people are unusually mean/judgmental"), Accepting you'll be able to recover if it happens, Doing it with that in mind. Comfort with the probability of failure comes proper preparation, though.
- Another time analogy: our consciousness is link between time and the physical world. Our outcomes are determined by our ability to channel time (our tool being intentions). Kind of similar to the last one actually.
- Networking through partnerships is so much better than regular reach-outs. "Let's work together" beats "Would love to pick your brain." The original one kind of requires both to have projects with aligned agendas, though, which is the moat. More reasons to be an entrepreneur.
