Principles I try to follow
Don't ask to ask, just ask
Instead of asking whether someone can answer a question first, e.g, "who here is good at math?" Ask the question; Anyone know how to differentiate y=2x+3. Or ask qualifier and question together.
Principles I'm debating whether I should follow
five sentences
Keep every email to five sentences. I'd say sure for 80% of email correspondence. I sometimes go to email when something needs to be official, which often causes me to be verbose to avoid any confusion (the 20%).
